R  (g) Heat the center of the sleeve (do not turn the assembly when you
R  do this) until the sleeve shrinks (the solder ring melts and
R  flows into the strands of the screened sleeves and shield).
R  (h) Let cool for a few seconds.
R  (i) Do the operation again for the other side from step (e).
R  (j) Install the heat-shrink sleeve.
R  (k) Shrink the sleeve.
R  ____NOTE : PTFE requires a minimum temperature of 327 deg.C (620.60
R  deg.F) for the shrinking. At level of the two solder
R  sleeves, it is necessary to prevent overheat of the
R  solder.

R  (5) Method 2E
R  (a) Cut the cable and wires.
R  (b) Install the heat-shrink sleeve.
R  (c) Install the two solder sleeves.
R  (d) Install the splice insulation sleeve(s) and if applicable the
R  adapters, on each wire.
R  (e) Put one end of the splice in the applicable crimping tool die.
R  (f) Hold the splice in the correct position with the positioner.
R  (g) Put the stripped end of the wire in the splice barrel.
R  (h) Crimp the splice (fully tighten the handle until the ratchet
R  releases).
R  (i) Remove the splice from the crimping tool.
R  (j) Do the same operation for the other side of the splice from step
R  (e).
R  (k) Do a check to make sure that the splicing is correct.
R  (l) Put the insulation sleeve in the correct position.
R  (m) Install the sealing adapters under the sleeve (they must show out
R  of the sleeve on a dimension of 0.80 mm (0.0314 in.)
R  (n) Put one side of the insulation sleeve in the crimping die.
R  (o) Crimp the sleeve (fully tighten the handle until the ratchet
R  releases).
R  (p) Remove the assembly from the crimping tool.
R  (q) Do the same operation for the other end of the sleeve from step
R  (l).
R  (r) Do a check to make sure that the sleeves are in the correct
R  position.
R  (s) Do the same operation for the other wires of the cable from step
R  (e) (the splices must be staggered).

R  (t) Turn the solder sleeve when you engage it on the shielding link
R  so that it does not catch on the strands.
R  (u) Center the solder on the stripped portion of the bonding wire and
R  shield.
R  (v) Heat the center of the sleeve (do not turn the assembly when you
R  do this) until the sleeve shrinks (the solder ring melts and

R  (6) Method 2F
R  (a) Cut the cable and wires.
R  (b) Install the heat-shrink sleeve.
R  (c) Install the two solder sleeves.
R  (d) Install the screened sleeve.
R  (e) Install the splice insulation sleeves and the adapters on each
