 A. Contact P/N and Characteristics
(Ref. Fig. 030) ---------------------------------------------------------------------| | USE WITH | | CONTACT |----------------------------------------------| | | PLUG | RECEPTACLE | |--------------------|-----------------------|----------------------| | EN3155-052F | | | | | EN6047-004 | EN6047-003 | | EN3155-053M | | | ---------------------------------------------------------------------
B. Wire Stripping
(Ref. Fig. 030)

 (1) Normal Wire
-If sealing is necessary, install the heat-shrinkable sleeve on the wire before stripping. Shrinking is done after crimping.
 C. Crimping Procedure and Tools
(Ref. Fig. 031)

 (1) For EN6047-003 and EN6047-004 connectors with wire gauge 00 to 0000.
 (a)
Remove the four screws from the square flange on the receptacle.

 (b)
Unscrew the backshell (1) and slide it over the wire bundle.

 (c)
Remove the housing (8) towards the front of the connector.

 (d)
Remove the front insulators (11), (7) and the retention plate (6).

 (e)
On CANNON connector, remove the circlip (9).

 (f)
 Remove the central insulator (5).

 (g)
Slide back the grommet (3) then the separator (2) with the seal

 (4)
 into the backshell (1).

(h)
Do a check of wires in the crimped contacts (10).

 (i)
If a wire is damaged, cut the wires completely to remove the crimped contacts (10).

R  (j) Strip the wires (12) to the size "A".
 (k) Insert the wires into the contacts.
 (l) Crimp the contacts (10) with the PICO 500 crimping tool.
 (m) Slide on the central insulator (5).
 (n) Install the retention plate (6).
R  (o) Put the contacts (10) through the front insulator (7).
R R  (p) Install the assembly in the housing (8). Make sure that the indexing keyway in insulator (7) is in the correct position.
 (q) Slide insulator (7) over insulator (5).
 (r) On CANNON connector, install the circlip (9).
 (s) Push the assembly into the housing (8).
R R R  (t) Tighten the backshell (1) by hand until the orange color comes into view in the window of the coupling nut. TORQUE to 0.8 m.daN (70.7964 lbf.in).
____NOTE : When you tighten the rear connector, the torque value increases. This will cause the connector to click until fully engaged.
 (u) Make sure that the plug is tightened and torqued.
R  (v) Do a check of the pin retention with a dynamometer. The CANNON value is 1.2 daN (2.6977 lbf) minimum, the SOURIAU value is 2.8 daN (6.2946 lbf) minimum, in accordance with pin/socket type used.
R  (w) Install the four screws in the square flange of the receptacle.
