R D. Insulation procedure
R (Ref. Fig. 003)
R (1) For wire gauges 08 to 04 only:
R (Ref. Fig. 004)
R - Slide the sleeve E0718 until it is level with the stripped wire and
R shrink it.
R - Shrink the sleeve NSA937502 at the rear and on the sleeve E0718.
R - Make sure that the sealing sleeve (e.g ABS0992) is installed before
R crimping.
R E. Crimping Procedure
R (Ref. Fig. 005, 006)
R - Make sure that the sleeve E0718 (if installed) is shrunk on the wire.
R - Engage the stripped wire in the contact (for gauges 08 to 04 only, use
R lubricant HELLERINE or equivalent on the end of the sleeve).
R - Install the contact in the positioner.
R - Select the applicable tool.
R - Install the contact in the positioner.
R - Fully close the tool handles until the safety ratchet releases.
R - Remove the crimped contact.
R - Make sure that the contact crimping is correct.
R - Make sure that the length C (colored mark) is correct.
R - If installed, slide the sealing sleeve on the contact.
