 A. Inspection
 (1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the door window pane: (Ref. Fig. 601/TASK 56-31-00-991-002)
 (a)
 Examine the window panes for defects with a flashlight and magnifying glass from different directions. You must replace the window panes with defects that are more than the permitted limits.

 (b)
 Measure the length of the damage.

 (c)
 Measure the depth of the damage. 1 Put transparent graph paper on one surface of the window pane.

 2_ Point the flashlight at 90 degrees to the opposite surface of
 the window pane.
 3_ The damage shows as a dark line on the graph paper. Make a
 mark at each end of the line and measure the distance between
 the two marks.

 -at 45 degrees to the opposite surface of the window pane.
 -at 90 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the damage. 3 The damage shows as a dark area on the graph paper. Make a
_ line around the dark area and measure the maximum width.
 4 Multiply the dimension by 1.6 to get the correct depth.

 Remove the screws (1) and the washers (2).

 Remove the retainer (3) and the spacers (4).

 (c)
 Remove the window (5) from the frame (6).

 Disassembly of the window

 Remove the seal (9).

 (b)
 Remove the inner pane (8) and the outer pane (10).
