-action on the operating lever with the window in the open position unlocks the window. This releases the rack.
-pushing forward on the lever gradually closes the window
-at the end of travel, the transversal guide roller brings the window against the aircraft structure. The hooks engage on the locking pins. The operating lever is locked and prevents unwanted opening of the window.

(1) For the acrylic sliding windows (LUCAS/ACT supplier, P/N NH...) and for the glass sliding windows (PPG supplier, P/N NP...):
(a)
Do a detailed visual inspection of the seal of the sliding window.
(b)
Make sure that there are no cracks and blisters on the seal.
(c)
If you find damage, remove (Ref. TASK 56-12-11-000-004) and replace (Ref. TASK 56-12-11-400-004) the retainer and gasket assembly.

(2) For the glass sliding windows (SPS supplier, P/N SPS...):
(a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the seal of the sliding window.
(b) Make sure that there are no cracks and blisters on the seal.
(c) Examine the frame in the area of the seal.
(d) If you find damage, remove (Ref. TASK 56-12-11-000-003) and replace (Ref. TASK 56-12-11-400-003) the preformed seal.
