(1)
Put the access platform in position in front of the windshield at the zone 210.
(2)
In the cockpit, put the warning notice on the center pedestal to tell persons not to operate the weather radar.

A. Inspection of the Windshield
(1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the weather seal from the outside. (Ref. Fig. 609/TASK 56-11-11-991-021)
(a) For the PPG windshield (P/N NP-165311-1 to P/N NP-165311-2 and P/N NP-165311-3 to P/N NP-165311-4 Amendment B) make sure that there are no cracks, erosion and that you cannot see the outboard glass edge.
(b) For the PPG windshield with a stainless steel Z section (P/N NP-165311-3 Amendment C to P/N NP-165311-4 Amendment C) make sure that there are no cracks, erosion and that the sealant is in the correct condition.
(c) For the PPG windshield with a stainless steel Z section (P/N NP-165311-5 to P/N NP-165311-6) make sure that there are no cracks, erosion and that you cannot see the Z section.

(d)
For the SPS windshield (P/N STA320-1-3 to P/N STA320-2-6) make sure that there are no cracks, erosion and that you cannot see the SILIRITE composite material.
(e)
For the SPS windshield with a stainless steel Z section (P/N STA320-1-7 to P/N STA320-2-7) make sure that there are no cracks, erosion and that you cannot see the Z section.
(f)
For the PILKINGTON windshield with a stainless steel Z section (P/N 06282 to 06283) make sure that there are no cracks, erosion and that you cannot see the Z section.
(2)
If you find damage, repair the weather seal (Ref. TASK 56-11-11-300-001).
(3)
Do a detailed visual inspection of the bus bar area from the outside (Ref. TASK 56-11-11-200-001).
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit
breaker(s): R 1DG1, 4DG1, 5DG1, 1DG2, 4DG2, 5DG2, 5SQ1, 5SQ2.

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
