A. Installation of the Sliding Window
WARNING : BE CAREFUL DURING THE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION OF THE WINDOW TO
_______ PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE. MAKE SURE THAT: -THERE ARE SUFFICIENT PERSONS FOR THE TASK. -YOU DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SEAL OR THE GLASS PLIES. THE WINDOW IS HEAVY.
(Ref. Fig. 409/TASK 56-12-11-991-067)
(1) Install the sliding window assembly in the rails (53) and (51). Move the assembly to the closed position.

B. Adjustment of the Sliding Windows
(Ref. Fig. 410/TASK 56-12-11-991-068, 411/TASK 56-12-11-991-069)
(1)
Put the sliding window on the frame to get the following peripheral clearance J1 of:
-2 -0.8 +0.8 mm (0.0787 -0.0314 +0.0314 in.) for the acrylic sliding window (LUCAS/ACT supplier, P/N NH...) and for the glass sliding window (PPG supplier, P/N NP...).
-1.4 +1.0 -1.0 mm (0.0551 +0.0393 -0.0393 in.) for the glass sliding window (SPS supplier, P/N SPS...).
(2)
Adjustment on the Z axis:
(a)
From points 1 to 11 measure the upper peripheral clearance and the lower peripheral clearance. To get the peripheral clearance J1 on the Z axis, use the adjustment washer (66) and the adjustment washer (67) of the correct thickness, related to the roller supports (62) and (71).
(b)
Remove the sliding window.
(c)
Remove the circlips (70) and (63).
(d)
Remove the nuts (69) and (64).

(e) Remove the lower roller supports (71) and (62). NOTE : Record the location of the lower roller supports (71) and
____ (62) on the sliding window frame.
(f)
Install the adjustment washers (67) and (66).
(g)
Make sure that the clearance J3 between the roller supports (62),
(71) and the frame is 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) to 4.5 mm (0.1771 in.)
(h)
Lubricate the lower roller supports (71) and (62) with COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004), and install them.
(i)
Install the nuts (69) and (64). TORQUE to between 0.6 and 0.7 m.daN (53.09 and 61.94 lbf.in) and safety with BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-002A).
(j)
Install the circlips (70) and (63).
(k)
Install the sliding window and close it.
(l)
Make sure that the upper and lower peripheral clearances J1 on the Z axis are correct. If necessary do the adjustment procedure again.
(3) Adjustment on the X axis:
(a)
Remove the circlip (59).
(b)
Loosen the nut (60).
(c)
Turn the eccentric (61) to get a correct peripheral clearance J1 on the X axis.
(d)
TORQUE the nut (60) to between 0.4 and 0.5 m.daN (35.39 and 44.24 lbf.in) safety it with BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-002A).
(e)
Install the circlip (59).
(f)
Make sure that the peripheral clearance J1 on the X axis is correct. If necessary do the adjustment procedure again.
