R (Ref. Fig. 404/TASK 56-12-11-991-035, 405A/TASK 56-12-11-991-036-A)
R (1) Close the sliding window. Make sure that the window moves easily.
R (2) Make sure that the out-of-flush dimension A between the sliding
R window and the frame is:
R - 0 +0.6 -2 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 -0.0787 in.) at points 1, 3, 5, 6, 8,
R 10 and 11.
R - 0 +0.4 -2 mm (0.0000 +0.0157 -0.0787 in.) at points 2, 4, 7 and 9.
R NOTE : Make sure that the difference between the smallest and the____
R largest value at points 2, 4, 7 and 9 is not more than 0.3 mm
R (0.0118 in.).
R (3) If the out-of-flush dimension A is not correct, adjust as follows:
R (a) Release the lockwashers (81) and (83).
R (b) Remove the circlips (63), (70), (79) and (80).
R (c) Loosen the nuts (64) and (69)
R (d) Remove the nuts (72) and (78).
R (e) Remove the lockwashers (81) and (83) and discard them.
R (f) Install the new lockwasher (81) and new lockwasher (83).
R (g) Install the nuts (72) and (78).
R (h) Turn the eccentrics (65), (68), (73) and (74) to get the
R out-of-flush dimension A.
R (i) TORQUE the nuts (64), (69), (72) and (78) to between 0.6 and 0.7
R m.daN (53.09 and 61.94 lbf.in).
R (j) Safety the nuts (64), (69), (72) and (78) with the lockwashers
R (81), (82), (83) and (84).
R (k) Install the circlips (63), (70), (79) and (80).

R (4) Adjustment of the latches (90).
R (5) Make sure that the sliding window is closed.
R (a) If the clearance J5 is not in the tolerance, turn the eccentric
R of the locking pins (91) on the frame.
R (b) Make sure that the clearance J3 between the latches (90) and the
R locking pins (91) is 0 +0 +0.1 mm (0.0000 +0.0000 +0.0039 in.).

R D. Adjustment of the Handle
R (1) Check of the load necessary to operate the handle
R NOTE : The load on the handle is directly related to the out-of-flush____
R adjustment of the window.
R (a) Operate the sliding window. Measure the load on the handle
R perpendicularly with a dynamometer.
R (b) The load permitted on the handle is 20 +2 -3 daN (44.9617 +4.4961
R -6.7442 lbf) . If the load is not in the tolerance, adjust the
R sliding window again.
R NOTE : We recommend that you adjust the window to get a load on____
R the handle near the maximum limit.
