 4. Procedure

 (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 56-21-13-991-004, 402/TASK 56-21-13-991-010) Subtask 56-21-13-420-052
 A. Installation:
 (1)
 Install the window assembly (2) in the window frame (1).

 (2)
 Make sure that the vent hole (9), through the inner pane (8), is at the bottom of the cabin window assembly.

 (3)
 Install the retainer (3). NOTE : Do not damage the protective surfaces of the retainer.

 (4)
 Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the threads of the eyebolts (5).

 (5)
 Install the retainer attach nuts (4), on the eyebolts (5), but do not tighten at this time.

 (6)
 Make sure that the window assembly (2) is in the center of the window frame (1).

 (7)
 Make sure that the outer bead of the rubber seal (7) is the same width around the window frame (1).

 (8)
 Tighten the retainer attach nuts (4) in a diagonal sequence and TORQUE to 0.6 m.daN (53.09 lbf.in)

 (9)
 Paint a red telltale mark on the retainer attach nuts (4) and the retainer (3).


 (10) Clean the outer surface of the outer pane (6) (Ref. TASK 56-21-13-100-002) .
R (11) Clean the inboard surface of the inner pane (8) (Ref. TASK 12-21-12-R 100-004).
 5. Close-up

 A. Close Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Install the upper sidewall panels (Ref. TASK 25-23-43-400-001).

 (3)
 Remove the access platform(s).

 (4)
 Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

 (1)
 Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the applicable passenger/crew door at the zone 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.

 (2)
 Open the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842 (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001).

 (3)
 Do the special precautions before you start work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

 (4)
 Clean the outer surface of the outer window panes of the cabin windows and the passenger/crew door windows (Ref. TASK 56-21-13-100-002).
