R C. Preparation for the Installation
R (1) Clean the windshield housing and the retainers with CLEANING AGENTS
R (Material No. 11-003).
R (2) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) with a brush on the mating
R surfaces of the windshield panel and in its housing.
R (3) Make sure that the fastener countersinks at the upper horizontal
R frame are correctly filled with sealant.
R If they are not, apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) or SEALANTS
R (Material No. 09-053) to make the upper horizontal frame flat in the
R seal contact area. This will prevent pressure leaks.
R If you use a sealant different from the remaining sealant, you must
R first clean the fastener countersinks with CLEANING AGENTS (Material
R No. 11-003).
R NOTE : If you use PR1436GB-ND1/2 at 23deg.C, the application time is____
R 1/2 hour and the cure time is 24 hours. If you use
R PR1436GB2-NA at 23deg.C, the application time is 2 hours and
R the cure time is 30 hours. If you use PR1436GB4-NA at 23deg.C,
R the application time is 4 hours and the cure time is 40 hours.
R If you use DAPCO 72 at 23deg.C, the application time is 1/4
R hour and the cure time is 2 1/2 hours.

R WARNING : BE CAREFUL DURING THE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION OF THE WINDSHIELD TO_______

R MAKE SURE THAT:
R -THERE ARE SUFFICIENT PERSONS FOR THE TASK.
R -YOU DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SEAL OR THE GLASS PLIES.
R THE WINDSHIELD IS HEAVY.
R CAUTION : DO NOT USE A SUCTION CUP TO HOLD THE INNER SURFACE OF THE_______
R WINDSHIELD PANEL IF THE PANEL HAS A SOFT (SELF HEALING) LINER
R (SUPPLIER SPS).THE SUCTION CUP WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SOFT
R LINER.
R -DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE SOFT LINER.
R THE SOFT LINER IS A PART OF THE WINDSHIELD PANEL.
R CAUTION : REMOVE THE WINDSHIELD PANELS FROM THEIR CONTAINER ONLY WHERE_______
R AND WHEN YOU INSTALL THEM.
R KEEP THE PROTECTIVE FILM ON THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL SURFACES
R OF THE WINDSHIELD :
