 B. Preparation of the Limit Switch
 (1)
Make sure that the roller (16) of the replaced limit switch (6) is in line with the groove.

 (2)
If not, put the roller (16) in the correct position as follows:

 (a)
Remove the nut (17) and the bolt (14) from the fork end (15).

 (b)
Disengage the roller (16) from the fork end (15).

 (c)
Push the fork end (15) carefully into the switch housing with a suitable tool until you feel resistance and hold.

 (d)
Turn the fork end (15) to 90 degrees and release it.

 (e)
Put the roller (16) in the fork end (15) and install the bolt

 (14) and the nut (17).

 (f)
 Tighten the nut (17) correctly.

 (3)
Set the adjustment nut (7) in the correct position on the limit switch (6) as follows:

 (a) Measure the distance between the end of the roller (16) and the contact surface of the adjustment nut (7).
NOTE : The necessary distance is 22.0 mm (0.8661 in.)
____
 (b) Turn the adjustment nut (7) clockwise or counterclockwise until the distance is correct.

 C. Installation of the Limit Switch 2508MJ or 2509MJ
 (1)
Put the limit switch (6) together with the related cable harness (5), the adjustment nut (7) and the lock washer (8) in position of the door sill area.

 (2)
Put the lock washer (8) in the correct position so that its outer tab engages with the attachment hole of the support assy (9).

 (3)
Move the limit switch (6) on the support assy (9) so that the adjustment nut (7) touches the lock washer (8).

 (4)
Install the serrated washer (12) and the lock nut (13) on the limit switch (6) to attach it on the support assy (9).

 (5)
Tighten the lock nut (13) and safety it with lockwire, corrosion-resistant steel, dia. 0.8 mm ( 0.032 in.) on the adjustment nut (7).

 (6)
Remove the blanking caps from the receptacle (1) and the electrical connector (2) and connect these two parts.

 (7) Attach the cable harness (5) to the bracket (4) with a tie wrap (3). Subtask 52-35-13-865-051

 E. Adjustment of the Limit Switch 2508MJ or 2509MJ
 (1)
Remove electrical connector (2) from the receptacle (1) and connect the probes of the continuity tester to the related pins of the connector (2).

 (2)
Find the correct switch point of the limit switch (6) as follows:

 (a)
Set the manual lever of the door sill latches in the forward direction until the continuity tester shows an open circuit.

 (b)
Measure the distance between the end position of the drawbar lever (10) and its position when the limit switch (6) operates.

NOTE : The distance must be between 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) and 5.0
____
 mm (0.1968 in.).

 (c) If necessary, adjust the length of the drawbar (11) (Ref. TASK 25-52-00-820-001) so that the switch point of the limit switch
 (6) is in the tolerance.
 (3) Remove the probes of the continuity tester from the related pins and install the electrical connector (2) on the receptacle (1).
