1. General

A. Avionics Compartment Doors 811, 812, 822, 824 (Ref. Fig. 001, 002) The doors giving access to the avionics compartment are rectangular. It is possible to open the avionics compartment forward and aft doors from the inside of the avionics compartment. These doors are fitted with inner handles connected to the locking mechanism. The hold-open mechanism of the avionics compartment doors consists of:

for the forward door: a rubber mechanical stop

for the lateral left door: a locking pin which engages into a rubber mechanical stop

for the aft door: a ball screwjack
-
for the lateral right door: a rubber mechanical stop. Each door has a different design. However the locking mechanism is identical on the four avionics compartment doors.
2. Description

A. Structure
(1)
The access doors are made of aluminium alloy. The main structure consists of longerons to which a sheet of metal is riveted. The doors are hinged to the aircraft by means of two hinge arms.
