The related target operates the proximity switch 32WV (Ref. 52-71-00). When the door handle is in line with the cargo door contour, the target operates the proximity switch 34WV . This causes the visual warning in the cockpit to go off (Ref. 52-71-00). In this position, the hook of the door structure safeties the door handle against movement.
