4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Accessory Compartment Door
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 52-41-16-991-001)
(1)
Disconnect the bonding jumper (12) from the access door (6).
(2)
Remove the nut (9), the screw (11) and the washer (10).
(3)
Hold the access door (6) and remove the nuts (1), the screws (4) and the washers (2).
(4)
Remove the access door (6) with the hinge assemblies (5).
(5)
Remove the shims (3) if installed.

Make sure that the access platform(s) in position.
(2)
Make sure that the access door 312AR is opened.

A. Preparation of the Replacement Components
(1)
Lock the latch assemblies (7).
(2)
Adjust the set screws (8) of the latch assemblies (7) to come up to a dimension of 6.2 mm (0.2440 in.).
(3)
Unlock the latch assemblies (7). NOTE : To get the correct door gaps A and C, you can install a
____ maximum of two shims (3) at each hinge assembly (5).
(4)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the mating surface of the shims (3) if installed.
(5) Install the shims (3) as required. Subtask 52-41-16-910-050
B. Preparation for Installation
