(c)
Remove the nuts (5) and the lock plates (4) from the stop bolts (2). Discard the lock plates (4).
(d)
Turn the stop bolts (2) until they touch the stop fittings (3).
(e)
Set the Bulk door in the closed position and carefully move the locking handle in the locked position (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
NOTE : If this is not possible, change the position of the
____ forward and aft latch spigots on the Bulk door frame (Ref. TASK 52-33-32-400-001).
(2) Measure the skin offset which should be out of the wind between the contour of the Bulk door and the fuselage.
NOTE : The lateral and the upper skin offsets must be between zero
____ and 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.). The lower skin offset in the scuff plate area must be between
1.0 mm (0.0393 in.) and 3.5 mm (0.1377 in.).
(3)
Adjust the lower skin offset as follows (refer to section E-E):
(a)
Open the Bulk door to get access to the lowest stop bolts (2).
(b)
Turn the two lowest stop bolts (2) on the lower stop fittings (3) counterclockwise.
(c)
Close the Bulk door and make sure that the lower skin offset is correct.
(4)
Adjust the upper skin offset as follows (refer to section D-D).
(a)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (10) from the damper housing (8).
(b)
Remove the nut (6) and the washer (7) from the damper housing (9) of the hinge arm (17).
(c)
Turn the threaded plug (8) clockwise or counterclockwise until the upper skin offset is correct.
(d)
Install the washer (7) and the nut (6) to the damper housing (9) and tighten.
(e)
Install the cotter pin (10) to safety the threaded plug (9).

(f) Apply STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-003) to the surface of the damper housing (9).
(5) Adjust the lateral skin offset as follows (refer to the sections A-A and B-B):
(a)
Open the Bulk door to get access to the stop bolts (2).
(b)
Turn the other stop bolts (2) counterclockwise until they touch the related stop fittings (1).
(c)
If the lateral skin offset is out of tolerance, turn the stop bolts (2) clockwise.
NOTE : The clearance between the stop bolts (2) and the stop
____ fittings (1) must not be more than 0.4 mm (0.0157 in.).
(d) Close the Bulk door and make sure that the skin offset is correct.
(6) If the skin offsets are correctly adjusted, safety the stop bolts (2) as follows:
(a)
Install new lockplates (4) and the related nuts (5) on the stop bolts (2).
(b)
TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 2.0 m.daN (14.7492 lbf.ft) and 2.2 m.daN (16.2241 lbf.ft).
(c) Safety the nuts (5) with the lock plates (4). R **ON A/C 004-049, 055-099, 101-105,
