Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the threads of the screws (4).

C. Installation of the Access Door
(1)
Put the access door (6) in its installation position.
(2)
Install the washers (2), the screws (4) and the nuts (1).
(3)
Attach the bonding strap (12) with the washers (10), the screw (11) and the nut (9) on the access door (6) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Apply a layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-027) (Ref. TASK 51-75-13-916-001).
(3)
Close the access door (6).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).

R A. Removal of the APU Exhaust Access-Fairing 317AL
NOTE : In the subsequent procedure the APU exhaust access-fairing 317AL____ is referred to as fairing.
R (1) Release the five stud nuts (2) and carefully remove the fairing (1) from the tail cone (11).
R R R R R (2) Hold the fairing (1) and disconnect the electrical connectors (3) and (4) from the tail navigation light 15LA and the tail cone strobe-light 19LV.
R (3) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
R (4) Remove the screw (6), the washer (7) and the nut (9) and disconnect the bonding strap (8) from the fairing (1).
R (5) If necessary, remove the tail navigation light 15LA (Ref. TASK 33-41-15-000-001).
R R (6) If necessary, remove the tail cone strobe-light 19LV (Ref. TASK 33-48-13-000-001).
