(2)
Sealing of door/fuselage interface during closing is effected by means of a perforated seal which inflates under pressurization conditions.
B. Locking mechanism
(1)
The closing mechanism is located on the door inner face and is secured to the longerons by two angle brackets. The mechanism consists of two rods and a swivel pin with a handle and an eccentric piece. A spring rod forms an overcenter device which holds the other rod fitted with a roller in pushed position (door closed).
(2)
The two rods are connected to the swivel pin via a spherical bearing. Only the rigid rod bearing against the fuselage is fitted with an end roller. The rods are attached to the swivel handle by bolts and nuts. The rigid rod is guided by a bronze bushing installed on a bracket secured to the structure.
(a) A proximity switch serves for checking whether the door is closed or not.

3. Operation
_________
A. Door closing : Turn the handle which drives the internal mechanism swivel pin. The rigid rod then moves with translational motion. This motion is stopped in its final position by the overcenter device formed by the spring rod. Locking is achieved through retraction of the opening/closing handle in its housing.
B. Door opening Unlock swivel handle by pressing "PUSH" pushbutton in handle. When the handle moves, the overcenter locking device is released and the mechanism operates in reverse order of closing.

4. Procedure_________
Subtask 52-41-00-010-052
A. Opening of the APU Access Doors (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 52-41-00-991-001)
(1) Open the APU access door 315AL (2).
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE THREE QUICK RELEASE FASTENERS ON THE APU_______ L ACCESS DOOR ARE CORRECTLY STOWED. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE SEAL ON THE APU L ACCESS DOOR.
(a) Release the three quick-release fasteners (6) at the bottom of the doors.
(b) Hold the door and release the two latches of the shoot bolts (1) at the two ends of the door.
(c) Open the door to the vertical position.
(d) Release the pip-pin (3) and pull the end of the telescopic strut (5) out until it locks.
(e) Push the door more open and attach the telescopic strut (5) with the pip-pin (3) to the fuselage attach point.
(2) Open the APU access door 316AR (9).
(a) Release the two latches of the shoot bolts (10) at the ends of the APU access 316AR (9).
R R R R R NOTE : The access door (9) is usually held in its closed position____ by the tension spring (7). It is correct that the spring load can decrease after usual door operation. It can be possible that the door opens slowly after opening the latches of the shoot bolts (10).
