3 Tighten the jam nuts (8) to safety the turnbuckle (10).

4 Safety the turnbuckle (10) and the jam nuts (9) with lockwire,
_ corrosion-resistance steel, dia 0.63 mm on the safety ring.
(c)
Install the bolt (5), the washers (3) and the nut (2).
(d)
TORQUE the nut (2) to between 0.30 and 0.35 m.daN (26.54 and
30.97 lbf.in).
(e)
Safety the nut (2) with a new cotter pin (1).
(6) Carefully close the Bulk door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-011).
(7) Remove the adjustment gage from the structure of the Bulk door. R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-149, 221-221, 224-224, 228-228,

C. Installation of the Pre-Load Unit (20)
(1)
If removed, install the special shaft (22) on the aft lever (21).
(2)
Connect the clamping sleeve (25) on the aft lever (21) as follows:
(a)
If removed, install the special nut (38) into the clamping sleeve (25).
(b)
Engage the clamping sleeve (25) on the special shaft (22) and make sure that the attachment holes align.
(c)
Install the bolt (23), the washers (24) and the nut (26) and tighten.
(d)
Safety the nut (26) with a new cotter pin (27).
(3)
Put the flange bearing (30) on the Bulk door and attach it with the bolts (31) the washers (29) and nuts (28).
(4)
Install the upper part of the bearing (36) into the flange bearing (30).

Install the clamping screw (34) together with the washer (35) and hand-tighten.
(6)
If removed, install the screw (33) together with the washer (32) on the flange bearing (30).
(7)
Install the connection rod (11) (Ref. Para. 3.B). Subtask 52-33-41-420-052
D. Installation of the Torsion Spring (53)
(1)
Carefully open the Bulk door sufficiently (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-006) and safety it with an applicable support device.
(2)
Install the cover (52) and the retaining ring (51) into the opening of the serrated sleeve (54).
(3)
Put the torsion spring (53) on the splines of the serrated sleeve
(61) and move it in the forward direction.
(4)
Make sure that the notches of the torsion spring (53) and the serrated sleeves (54) are aligned.
(5)
Install the cover (52) and the retaining ring (51) into the opening of the serrated sleeve (61).
(6)
Remove the support device and put the Bulk door carefully into the closed position.
(7)
Install the connection rod (11) (Ref. Para. 3.B). Subtask 52-33-41-420-053
E. Install the Forward and/or Aft Lever(s) (15),(21)
(1)
Carefully open the Bulk door sufficiently (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-006) and safety it with an applicable support device.
(2)
Carefully move the serrated sleeve (54) or (61) through the flange bearing into the structure of the Bulk door.
(3)
During this movement, assemble the washer (60), the forward or aft lever (15),(21) and the spacer (55) to the serrated sleeve (54) or (61).

(4)
Install the bolts (59), the washers (58) and the nuts (57) and tighten.
(5)
Safety the nuts (57) with new cotter pin (56).
(6)
Install the torsion spring (53) (Ref. Para. 3.D).
(7)
Remove the support device and put the Bulk door into the close position.
(8)
Install the pre-load unit (20) (Ref. Para. 3.C).
(9) Install the connection rod (11) (Ref. Para. 3.B).

F. Adjustment of the Balance Mechanism
(1)
Do a functional check of the Bulk door to examine the balance mechanism.
(2)
If the operation is not correct, adjust the pre-tension of the balance mechanism (Ref. TASK 52-33-11-820-003).
(3)
Safety the clamping screw (34) with lockwire, corrosion-resistance steel, dia 0.63 mm to the screw (33) of the pre-load unit (20).
