A. Preparation for Installation

(1)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area. (Ref. TASK 52-33-11-200-001).
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area. (Ref. TASK 52-33-11-100-001).
(3)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the shanks of the bolts (1),(4).
(4)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the mating surface between the fitting assembly (6) and the Bulk cargo-compartment door.

B. Installation of the Stop Fitting
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 52-33-31-991-001)
(1) Install the stop screw (6) as follows:
(a)
Assemble the stop screw (5) in the fitting assembly (6).
(b)
Adjust the stop screw to an initial gap of 5.0 mm (0.1968 in.).
(c)
Install the new lockplate (7) and the nut (8) on the stop screw (5).
NOTE : Do not torque and safety the nut (8) at this stage.

(2) Install the fitting assembly (6) as follows:
(a) Put the fitting assembly (6) in position at the bulk door structure and attach it with the bolts (1),(4) and the nuts (2),(3).

(b)
TORQUE the nuts (2) to 0.7 m.daN (61.94 lbf.in).
(c)
TORQUE the nuts (3) to 0.8 m.daN (70.79 lbf.in).
(d)
Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) at the edge of the fitting assembly (6) and the BULK cargo-compartment door.

C. Adjustment Procedure
(1)
Adjust the skin offset between the fuselage contour and the BULK cargo-compartment door correctly (Ref. TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(2)
TORQUE the nut (8) to between 2.0 m.daN (14.7492 lbf.ft) and 2.2 m.daN (16.2241 lbf.ft).
(3)
Safety the nut (8) with the lockplate (7) (refer to typical lockplate installation of Fig. 401A).

(1) Assemble the stop screw (5), the washer set (6) and the nut (8) on the fitting assembly (7).

Put the fitting assembly (7) in position at the bulk door structure and attach it with the bolts (1) and (4) and the nuts (2) and (3).
(3)
Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) at the edge of the fitting assembly (7) and the BULK cargo-compartment door.
