E. Ground Air Conditioning/Air Starting Door (Ref. Fig. 006) The ground air conditioning/air starting door is located in the belly fairing between FR35 and FR36. The door is a quick-opening-type door and opens outward toward the front of the aircraft. The door gives access to the high-pressure ground connector for the ground air conditioning/air starting system.
(1) Description
The ground air conditioning/air starting door is made of honeycomb
core. The honeycomb core is bonded between several layers of foil.
The door is attached with the door hinge to the belly fairing. The door hinge is riveted to the door and screwed to the belly fairing. Two latch assemblies are riveted to the door to lock the door. The locking pins of the latch assemblies engage with the hooks and the door is then flush with the belly fairing. The hooks are screwed to the catch brackets which are attached at the belly fairing. A spring rod assy is installed between the push rod door fitting and the push rod fitting. The spring rod assy consists of a spring and a shaft which pivots between these fittings. It forms an overcenter device which retains the door in the fully open position and assists when the door closes.

G. Ground Service Conditioned Air Connection Door 191CB (Ref. Fig. 008)
The ground service conditioned air connection door 191CB is in the belly fairing between FR34 and FR35. The door is a quick-opening type door and opens outwards towards the front of the aircraft. The door gives access to the low-pressure ground connection for conditioned air. The door is made of honeycomb core which is bonded between several layers of foil. The door is attached to the belly fairing with the hinge. The hinge is attached with screws to the door and the belly fairing. The latch assy is attached with rivets to the door. When the door closes, the locking pin of the latch assy engages with a hook and the door is then flush with the belly fairing. The hook is attached with screws to a bracket which is attached to the belly fairing. The rod assy is installed between the hinge fitting assy and an attach fitting. The hinge fitting assy is attached with screws to the door. The attach fitting is attached with screws to the belly fairing. The rod assy turns between the hinge fitting and the attach fitting. These components form an overcenter device which keeps the door in the fully open position and helps to close the door.
