A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the on position.

A. Removal of the Bleed Control Valve
CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU
_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
CAUTION : PUT PLASTIC CAPS OR PLUGS ON ALL FUEL AND/OR LUBRICATION SYSTEM
_______ COMPONENTS AND LINES. IF YOU USE TAPE, CLOTH, OR METAL CAPS ON THEM, YOU CAN DAMAGE THE APU.
NOTE : With incorporation of VSB 4500001-49-89 the LCDT Sensor (P29) has

been replaced by filler plug P/N 4504985.
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector P33 (5).
(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Remove the bolt (7) and clamp (8) that attaches the cable harness to the bracket (27).
(4)
Remove the bolt (25) and the cushioned clamp (24) that attach the tube to the clamp bracket support assembly (26).
(5)
Disconnect the three clamps on tubes (12) and (13).
(6)
Loosen the six clamps on tubes (6), (20) and (14).
(7)
Put a container below the valve.
(8)
Disconnect both ends of the tubes (12), (13), and (6).
(9)
Disconnect the tubes (20), (14), (21) and (22) at the valve.
(10)
Remove the V-band clamp (15) from the outlet duct (16).
(11)
Remove the V-band clamp (18) from the ECS duct (17).
(12)
Remove the V-band clamp (9) from the exhaust duct.
(13)
Remove the bleed control valve from the APU.
(14)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(15)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected duct ends.
(16)
Remove the container.
