 A. Removal of the Surge Control Valve (8058KM)
 (1)
 Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the surge control valve (8058KM) (2).

 (2)
 Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.

 (3)
 Remove the air tubes (3) and (4).

 (4)
 Remove the clamps (5) from the surge control duct (6).

 (5)
 Hold the surge control valve (8058KM) (2) and remove the V-clamp (7) from the bleed duct (8).

 (6)
 Remove the surge control valve (8058KM) (2).

 (7)
 Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.

 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Energize the ground service network
 (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).


 (2)
 On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

 (3)
 Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

 (4)
 Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
 (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

 B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

 C. Get Access
 (1)
 Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.

 (2)
 Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

 (3)
 Make sure that the light SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

 


 4. Procedure

 A. Installation of the Surge Control Valve (SCV) (8058KM)
 (1)
 Remove the blank plugs from SCV.

 (2)
 Put the SCV (2) into position and install the V-clamp (7).

 (3)
 TORQUE the V-clamp to between 0.68 and 0.71 m.daN (60.17 and 62.83 lbf.in).

 (4)
 Install the surge control duct (6) with the clamps (5).

 (5)
 TORQUE the clamps (5) to 0.79 m.daN (69.91 lbf.in).

 (6)
 Connect the air pipes (3) and (4) to the SCV (8058KM) (2).

 (7)
 Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

 (8)
 Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
