A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT control SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

A. Installation of the Load Control Valve
(1) Remove the blanking covers from the ducts.
R R (2) Position the seal (5) on valve (4).
R R (3) Hold the valve (4) in position and attach the clamp (6). Do not fully tighten the clamp at this time.
R NOTE : Make sure that the arrow on the valve points in the same____ direction as the system air flow.
R (4) Install the duct (1) to the valve (4) with the clamp (2).
R (5) TORQUE the clamp (6) to 0.68 m.daN (60.17 lbf.in).
R (6) TORQUE the clamp (2) to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in).
R (7) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
R (8) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the valve (4).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. BITE Test the APU Bleed Air System.
(1)
Energize the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
(2)
Set the APU MASTER SW 14KD to ON.
(3)
Do this Test.

1. On the MCDU: On the MCDU:
-
push the pushbutton adjacent to - the APU menu page comes on.
the APU indication.

push the pushbutton adjacent to - the APU SYSTEM SELF-TEST page comes the SYSTEM SELF-TEST on and shows the message indication. IN PROGRESS.
-if the test is satisfactory, the message TEST OK comes on.
2. On the MCDU:
-push the pushbutton adjacent to
the RETURN display until the
CFDS page comes on.

D. Test the APU Bleed Air System.
(1)
Start and operate the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2)
On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that the X-BLEED switch is in the AUTO position.
