A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
In the cockpit, on APU panel 25VU, make sure that the FAULT and ON legends in p/bsw MASTER SW are off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the light SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the BLCV (8050KM)
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the two air ducts.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Hold the valve (6) in position and attach the V-clamp (5). Do not fully tighten the V-clamp at this time.
NOTE : Make sure that the arrow on the valve points in the same

direction as the system air flow.
(4)
Attach the valve (8050KM) (6) to the air duct with the V-clamp (4). Do not fully tighten the V-clamp at this time.
(5)
Make sure that there is sufficient clearance between the valve (8050KM) (6) and the adjacent components.
(6)
TORQUE the V-clamp (5) to 0.68 m.daN (60.17 lbf.in).
(7)
TORQUE the V-clamp (4) to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in).
(8)
Remove the blanking cap from the air tube (3).
(9)
Connect the air tube (3) to the valve (8050KM) (6).
(10)
Tighten the air tube (3) connection.
(11)
Safety the air tube (3) connection with lockwire - corrosion resistant steel 0.8 mm (0.032 in) dia.
(12)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(13)
Connect the electrical connector (2) and the electrical connector (1).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. BITE Test the APU Bleed Air System.
(1)
Energize the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
(2)
Set the APU MASTER SW 14KD to ON.
(3)
Do this Test.

push the pushbutton adjacent to the APU indication.

push the pushbutton adjacent to the SYSTEM SELF-TEST indication.
2. On the MCDU:

push the pushbutton adjacent to the RETURN display.

push the pushbutton adjacent to the RETURN display.
On the MCDU:
-
the APU menu page comes on.
-
the APU SYSTEM SELF-TEST page comeson and shows the messageIN PROGRESS.
-if the test is satisfactory, the message TEST OK comes on.
On the MCDU:
-
the APU menu page comes on.
-
the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page comes on.
