A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(2)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3)
Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Thermocouple Probe (8057KM1) or (8057KM2)
(1)
Do this procedure for both the thermocouple probes.
(2)
Put the new Gasket (7) in position on the thermocouple probe (8057KM1) or (8057KM2) (6).
(3)
Install the thermocouple probe (8057KM1) or (8057KM2) (6) in the turbine casing.
(4)
Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-014) to the threads of the bolt (4).
(5)
Install the bolts (5).
(6)
TORQUE the bolts (5) to 50 lbf.in (0.56 m.daN).
(7)
Attach the electrical connectors (4) with the washers (3) and the nuts (1) and (2).
(8)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(9)
Secure the cable clips (3) with the bolts (1) and nuts (2).
(10)
TORQUE the nuts (2) to 20 lbf.in (0.22 m.daN).
(11)
TORQUE the nut (1) to 30 lbf.in (0.33 m.daN). Subtask 49-72-15-865-051
B.
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
(4)
Remove the warning notice(s).
