6. Component Description

A. Electronic Control Box (ECB) 59KD
(Ref. 49-61-00).
B. Data Memory Module (DMM) The DMM is a nonvolatile memory device installed on the engine. It stores information concerning health monitoring and life usage of the APU. The DMM uses a serial communication link with the ECB to transfer the information to the ECB and vice versa. The main part of the DMM is the 16Kbyte EEPROM. The EEPROM is organized in 8 pages, each capable to store 256 8-Byte Words. The ECB supplies the DMM in parallel to the De-Oiling Solenoid with 28VDC.
