Remove the countersunk screws (9) from the ECB rack (5).

Remove the ECB rack (5).

Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (11) that attach the ECB mount
(12) to the structure.
(7)
Remove the ECB mount (12).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(2)
Make sure there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is below the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(4)
Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 is open.
(5)
Make sure that the ECB (59KD) is removed (Ref. TASK 49-61-34-000-002).
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the ECB Mount
(1) Install the ECB mount (12) to the aircraft structure with the bolts
(10) and the washers (11).
NOTE : The ECB installation points forward in those aircraft that do
____ not have the optional BULK cargo door. Aircraft with the optional BULK cargo door, have the ECB installation pointed rearwards.
(2)
Install the ECB rack (5) to the mount (12) with the countersunk screws (9).
(3)
Connect the bonding jumper (8) to the ECB mount (12) with the washer
(7) and the bolt (6).
(4)
Install the electrical socket assembly (4) to the ECB rack (5) with the bolts (1) the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
5. Close-up

A. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.

1. General
_______ The APU emergency shutdown-system stops the APU if an emergency occurs. The system is automatically activated on the ground if the APU fire and overheat detection system finds an overtemperature in the APU compartment (Ref. 26-13-00). You can also stop the APU manually from:

the cockpit,
-
the external power control panel on the nose landing gear (only when the aircraft is on the ground).

3. System Description
__________________ (Ref. Fig. 002) The airborne auxilary power has an APU emergency shutdown-system. The Electronic Control Box (ECB) receives the emergency shutdown signal and stops the APU. An emergency shutdown occurs automatically, if the APU fire and overheat detection system finds an overtemperature in the APU compartment (Ref. 26-13-00). The manual emergency shutdown switches are:
-
the APU FIRE PUSH pushbutton switch 12WG on the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit,
-
the APU SHUT OFF pushbutton switch 1KL at the fuselage of the nose landing gear, on the external power control panel 108VU (this is only available when the aircraft is on the ground).
