A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT switch is set to the ON position.

A. Installation of the Speed Sensor CAUTION : -YOU MUST NOT INCREASE THE TIGHTENING TORQUE MORE THAN THE
_______ MAXIMUM VALUE. -APPLY ALL TIGHTENING TORQUES WITH A TORQUE WRENCH OR A CALIBRATED SCREWDRIVER.

NOTE : There are two speed sensors. The procedure is the same for each of

the speed sensors.
(1)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the packing (4),
(2)
Install the new packing (4) on the speed sensor (3).
(3)
Install the speed sensor (3) with the bolt (2).
(4)
TORQUE the bolt (2) to 40 lbf.in (0.45 m.daN).
(5)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(6)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(7)
Connect the electrical connector P26 or P27 (1) to the speed sensor (3).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

(1) Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-710-008).

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
