A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT control SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Surge Control Valve
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(2)
Position the gaskets (10) on the valve (11).
(3)
Put the valve (11) into position and align with the marks on the ducts.
(4)
Install the clamp (9) and (12).
(5)
TORQUE the clamps (9) and (12) to 0.68 m.daN (60.17 lbf.in).
(6)
Lubricate the new O-rings (1), O-rings (5) and O-rings (8) with OILS (Material No. 03-002)
(7)
Install the O-rings on the pipes (4), (6) and (7).
(8)
Position the pipes (4), (6) and (7) into the valve (11).
(9)
Install the pipe clamp (2) and tighten the captive bolts (3).
(10)
TORQUE the bolts (3) to 0.57 m.daN (50.44 lbf.in)
(11)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(12)
Connect the electrical connector (13) to the valve (11).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

Energize the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. TASK 31-32-00-860-001)
(2)
Set the APU MASTER SW 14KD to ON.
(3)
Do this Test.
