 NOTE:____ When you pull the APU fire handle, it is necessary to push the manual override button behind the APU fire handle.
 (a)  Make sure the FIELD OFF light in the two APU GEN FIELD MAN RESET switches, on the P461 panel, come on after 5 seconds.

 (b)  Make sure the APU fuel shutoff valve is in the closed position.

 (a)  Make sure the display APU comes into view on the main EICAS or
 the status EICAS screen.

 APU FIRE DETECTOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  Four tasks are given in this section. The first and second tasks are the removal and installation of APU fire detector element. The third and fourth tasks are the removal and installation of APU fire detector assemblies M216 and M217.
 B.  Two dual-element APU fire detectors are installed in the APU compartment, on the left APU access door and near upper aft APU mount. The removal/installation procedure is the same for each detector element.
 C.  The detectors can be accessed by the access doors below the APU.
