 E. Do the following steps:
 S 865-027
 (1)  Release the pressure from the pneumatic crossover duct
 (AMM 36-00-00/201).

 WARNING: YOU MUST WEAR EAR PROTECTION IN THE AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT
_______ BECAUSE OF THE HIGH NOISE LEVEL OF THE EJECTOR. IF YOU DO NOT, INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  On the ejector mounting bracket at STA 968, WL 97, LBL 1 (STA 1528, WL 97, LBL 1 for the aft ejector), disconnect the vacuum switch air line, 32V44, from the ejector plenum and the vacuum switch on the fwd (S2259)/aft (S2275) ejector).

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE MERCURY SOURCE NEAR AN AIRPLANES. MERCURY CAN CAUSE EXTREME STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WHEN IN CONTACT WITH THE AIRPLANE SURFACES.
 DO NOT CONNECT VACUUM GAUGE TO THE 3/4 INCH BLEED AIR LINE OR
 THE 1 INCH VACUUM LINE. THIS CAN DAMAGE TO THE INSTRUMENT.
 (3)  Connect a shutoff valve and a vacuum gauge that has a range of 180 inches of water (15 inches of mercury) vacuum between the ejector and the pressure switch.
 NOTE: You must put the shutoff valve between the ejector plenum and
____ the vacuum gauge. The vacuum gauge must be between the shutoff valve and the pressure switch on the mounting bracket.

 (4)  
Close the shutoff valve completely.

 (5)  
Make sure the vacuum pressure of the vacuum gauge shows zero.

 S 785-296
 (6)  Pressurize the pneumatic crossover duct with the APU or a ground air source so that the pressure at the ejector inlet is between 15 psig and 50 psig (AMM 36-00-00/201).
 NOTE: You can see the duct pressure on the ECS page on the
____
 EICAS.

 NOTE: You can also pressurize the ejector if you disconnect the
____ hose at approximately STA 970, WL 96, BL 0.0 for the fwd ejector and STA 1530, WL 96, BL 0.0 for the aft ejector , in the lower area of the fwd/aft cargo compartment. Then use dry plant air. Open the shutoff valve to the bleed air inlet of the ejector and pressurize the ejector from 15 to 50 psig.

 (7)  
Slowly open the shutoff valve in-line with the ejector plenum completely to pressurize the vacuum switch.

Make sure the minimum vacuum pressure on the vacuum gauge is more than 20 inches of water (1.5 inches of mercury).

Open these circuit breakers on the P6 panel:

6F1, IGN 1 ENG 1

 (b)  
6F4, IGN 1 ENG 4

 (c)  
6G1, FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 1

 (d)  
6G4, FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 4

 (e)  
6G19, STBY IGN ENG 1

 (f)  
6G22, STBY IGN ENG 4

 (g)  
6J18, ENG START AIR CONT

 (h)  
6K19, IGN 2 ENG 1

 (i)  
6K22, IGN 2 ENG 4

 (j)  
6L10, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 1

 (k)  
6L13, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 4

 (10) Close these circuit breakers on the P6 panel:
 (a)  
6L11, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 2

 (b)  
6L12, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 3

 S 865-154
 (11) Set the engine fuel control switches on the forward electrical control panel, P9, for engine 1 and 4 in the RUN position.
 NOTE: These switches must be in the RUN position for 5 minutes
____ before the EICAS messages in the subsequent steps will show. The engine fuel control switches for engines 2 and 3 must be in the CUTOFF position.
