Examine the smoke detector chamber internally for any unwanted material such as dirt, dust, insects or residue on the walls of the chamber. Contamination can cause a false alarm or change the detector sensitivity.

Blow out contamination with dry compressed air at maximum gage pressure of 15 psig.
