Make sure these conditions occur:
(a)
The red master warning light on the glareshield panel is off.
(b)
The fire bell on the aural warning speaker is off.
(c)
The red lights on the fire control module are off.
(d)
The red fire light on the APU shutdown module in the right wheel well of the main landing gear is off.
(e)
The aural fire warning on the APU shutdown module is off.
(f)
The lights on the engine 1, 2, 3, and 4 fuel control switches S1863, S1864, S1865, and S1866 on the control stand are off.
E.
Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
(1)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

FIRE WARNING AND DETECTION CARDS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains three tasks. The first task removes the fire warning and detection cards for the engine, APU, cargo, and wheel well. The second task installs the fire warning and detection cards. The third task does a test of the smoke detection system for the cargo areas.
B. The fire detection card files contain printed circuit cards for the engine, APU, cargo, and wheel well fire/overheat detection systems. The removal/installation procedure is the same for all the cards.
C. The card file is in the electrical/electronic equipment compartment along the left side of the nose gear wheel well. You can get access to the cards through an access door below the electrical/electronic equipment compartment. You can also get access to the cards through two doors in the lower cargo compartment or a door in the main deck cargo compartment.
D. The card file rotation and installation procedure is in the Nose Gear Ground Door Release Mechanism - R/I (AMM 32-35-03/401).

Open the applicable circuit breakers for the card you remove as shown in Fig. 402 and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags.

Get access to the card file through the access door below the electrical/electronics compartment.

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CARDS BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURE FOR DEVICES
_______ THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CARDS.
(3) Do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-41-02/201).
