Make sure that the APU FIRE light on the M869 module stays on.

Make sure that the APU FIRE WARNING HORN on the M869 module goes off.
(g)
Make sure that the fire warning bell in the flight compartment is on.
(h)
Put the APU FIRE CONTROL handle (S1) in its initial position.
(i)
Make sure that the APU FIRE light (red) on the M869 module stays on.
(j)
Open this circuit breaker:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel. a) 6H16 APU FIRE WARN HORN
(k)
Make sure that the APU FIRE light on the M869 module goes off.
(l)
Release the FIRE/OVHT TEST switch on the P5 pilot's overhead panel.
F. Put the Airplane in Its Usual Condition.

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6H5 FIRE EXTINGUISHER APU
2) 6L4 FLIGHT DECK LIGHT CAPT IND

(2) Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-41-02/201).
(a) Remove the protective cover from the fire bottle squib.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.
_______ IF THERE IS A VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR, THE SQUIB CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(b) Make sure there is no voltage between pins 1 and 2 of the electrical connector.
NOTE: Connect a 10 Kohm resistor across the meter to
____ remove any stray voltage from the electrical connector.
(c)
Make sure the squib pins are not bent or damaged.
(d)
Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged.
NOTE: The squib pins can cause damage to the
____ electrical connector if the pins do not enter the connector receptacles.
(e)
Connect the electrical connector to the fire bottle squib.
(f)
Do the steps that follow to make sure you did not bend or damage the squib pins.
NOTE: This step is is necessary because the pins are most
____ likely to be damaged the first time an electrical connector is connected to the squibs.
1) Disconnect the electrical connector from the fire bottle
squib. 2) Make sure the electrical pins are not bent or damaged. 3) Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged.

(3) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6H5 FIRE EXTINGUISHER APU

Do a test of the squib circuits for the APU.
(a)
Push and hold the TEST 1 button on the squib test module M7327 on the overhead maintenance panel P461 (P461).
(b)
Make sure that the APU SQUIB TEST light (green) comes on.
(c)
Release the TEST 1 button.
(d)
Make sure that the APU SQUIB TEST light goes off.
(e)
Push and hold the TEST 2 button on the squib test module M7327 on the P461 panel.
(f)
Make sure that the APU SQUIB TEST light (green) comes on.
