CAUTION: AT EACH ENGINE POSITION, MAKE SURE THE TYPE OF FIRE
_______ DETECTION CARD (SYSTRON DONNER OR KIDDE) INSTALLED IN THE M826 PANEL IS THE SAME AS THE TYPE OF FIRE DETECTION ELECMENT INSTALLED ON THE ENGINE. IF THIS IS NOT DONE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT MAY OCCUR.
(1) Open these circuit breakers.

WARNING: YOU MUST OPEN THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU OPEN THE CORE COWL
_______ TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER OR THE COWL. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE IN 78-31-00/201 WHEN YOU OPEN THE THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(2) Open the applicable thrust reverser half and core cowl half to get access to the engine strut (AMM 78-31-00/201 and AMM 71-11-06/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE WIRE INTEGRATION UNIT WAFER CONNECTOR.
_______ IF THE WAFER CONNECTOR IS DISCONNECTED, AN OPERATIONAL TEST OF EVERY SYSTEM THAT PASSES THRUGH THAT WIRE INTEGRATION UNIT WAFER CONNECTION MUST BE PERFORMED.
(3)
Gain access to the fire detection card file M826 in the
electrical/electronics equipment compartment.

Reconfigure the Engine Fire Detection System from Systron Donner to Kidde

(1) Remove the control cards for the affected engine (AMM 26-10-01/401).

Set # 1 for engine 1: YLPA001, YLPA002, YLPA004, YLPA005

Set # 2 for engine 2: YLPA006, YLPA007, YLPA009, YLPA010

Set # 3 for engine 3: YLPA011, YLPA012, YLPA014, YLPA015
-
Set # 4 for engine 4: YLPA016, YLPA017, YLPA019, YLPA020

(2) Find the connector shown below, on the fire detector card file, M826 and make the wire change for the engine position being changed.
