(10) Push and hold the crew rest reset switch, on the X1081 attendant panel located in the upper deck seating area outside the lavatory, for 5 seconds.
NOTE: THIS RESETS THE SUPPLY AIR VALVE TO THE OPEN POSITION.

AFT UPPER DECK CREW REST AREA SMOKE DETECTOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure gives removal and installation instructions for the smoke detectors M5162, M5163 and M5164 in the aft upper deck crew rest area.
B. Three smoke detectors are installed in the crew rest area ceiling. The removal and installation procedures are same the for each smoke detector.

C. Procedure

(1)
Open circuit breaker 7F4 CREW REST SMOKE DET on the P7 overhead circuit breaker panel, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.

Loosen the two screws on the smoke detector face plate.
NOTE: Screws are attached to face plate.

Remove the faceplate from the smoke detector case.

Remove the two mounting screws that attach the smoke detector case to the ceiling bracket.
(5)
Remove the smoke detector ceiling bracket from the ceiling.

Disconnect electrical connector DM5162, DM5163 or DM5164.

(a) Disconnect the sliding lock assembly from the electrical connector if it is installed.

Support the detector case and disconnect the lanyard from the rear of the smoke detector case.

(1)
Open the circuit breaker 7F4 CREW REST SMOKE DET on the P7 overhead circuit breaker panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.

Attach the lanyard from the ceiling bracket to the smoke detector case.

Reconnect electrical connector DM5162, DM5163 or DM5164.
(a) Attach the sliding lock assembly to the electrical connector if it is installed.

Put the ceiling bracket on top of the smoke detector and loosely tighten the two mounting screws on the smoke detctor case.

Insert the smoke detector into the ceiling and push on the screws until the ceiling bracket snaps into position.
