WARNING:_______ DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE FOR THE THRUST REVERSER TO
PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. ACCIDENTAL
OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS
OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Open the left (right) fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

Open the left (right) core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO OPEN THE THRUST
_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU OPEN THE THRUST REVERSERS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Open the left (right) thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Visually make sure the support tubes and detector elements are attached correctly.

Examine the support tubes for dents or crushed sections. Small dents which possibly occur when the tubes are moved (up to .06 inch in depth) are permitted. Cracks, sharp edge nicks (which go through the tube wall) or crushed sections in the tubes are cause for the tube to be rejected.

Examine the detection elements for deep abrasions or cuts. Light scratches of the element are permitted, but deep abrasions or cuts are cause for the elements to be rejected.

Make sure the ceramic part of the terminal lugs are tight and not damaged.
(a) If damaged, replace the detector element (AMM 26-11-02/401).

Visually make sure the detector terminal lugs are free of contamination.
WARNING:_______CLEANERS ARE TOXIC AND/OR FLAMMABLE. DO NOT BREATH THE VAPORS AND MIST. USE WITH VENTILATION PROVIDE APPROVED RESPIRATORY PROTECTION AS REQUIRED. DO NOT GET IN EYES. AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN AND CLOTHING. USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED. KEEP FLAMMABLE MATERIALS AWAY FROM SOURCES OF IGNITION.

Clean as necessary.
