B. The detection control cards are in the M826 fire detection card file.
The card file is in the electrical/electronic equipment compartment.Automatic Fire Overheat Logic Test System Cards (AFOLTS)

A. Four AFOLTS (automatic fire overheat logic test system) cards interpret detection control card signals, provide system functional tests, and output fire/overheat warning and fault indication signals for the engine fire/overheat detection system.
B. The AFOLTS cards are located in the M826 card file.Fire/Overheat Test Module

A. The FIRE/OVHT TEST switch is located on M7317 miscellaneous switching panel (P5). The switch initiates tests for the various fire detection systems. The operational test for each applicable section contains the FIRE/OVHT test. By pressing the FIRE/OVHT TEST switch, the switch sends a signal to a relay that simulates a fire/overheat signal. The test results in cockpit fire and overheat indicators, and appropriate EICAS messages.
B. To replace the module, refer to AMM 26-10-02/401, Miscellaneous Switching
Module - Removal/Installation.Fire Control Module

A. The fire control module M7326 is located on P5 pilot's overhead panel. The panel contains engine fire, APU fire, cargo compartment fire, fire detection and extinguishing system.
B. In the event of a fire in the engine, the following features appear:
(1)
Engine fire extinguishing switch handles: Illuminate. Pulling and rotating the switch will discharge the extinguishing agents.
(2)
Engine bottle discharge lights: Illuminate after agent is
discharged.
C. When the fuel control switch is in cutoff position, the fire handle solenoid is unlocked.
D. To replace the module, refer to 26-21-01/401, Fire Control Module.Modular Avionic & Warning Electronic Assembly (MAWEA)

A. The MAWEA is a part of multiplex system which transmits information about altitude alert, stall warning, takeoff warning, landing warning, master warning lights, and aural warnings. It uses 115 VAC power supply and has 18 printed circuit cards.

B. For the fire detection system, the MAWEA sends discrete loop fail, aural warning and master warning light signals (if applicable) for engine, APU, cargo, and overhead crew rest area from AFOLTS to the EIU system. All other functions are done in AFOLTS cards.
