SMOKE DETECTOR PRESSURE SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. Two tasks are given in this section. The first is the removal of the pressure switch S2276(fwd ejector)/ S2277(aft ejector) connected to the venturi ejector in the fwd / aft lower cargo compartment respectively. The second is the installation of the pressure switches in the fwd/ aft lower cargo compartment.
B. Pressure switches S2276(fwd) and S2277 (aft) are directly connected to the venturi ejectors and are in the lower cargo compartment. Follow the procedure for the removal and installation of the pressure switch.

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7H16 CARGO SMOKE - MAIN DECK ZN 1-8 A 2) 7H17 CARGO SMOKE - MAIN DECK ZN 1-8 B 3) 7H18 CARGO SMOKE - MAIN DECK ZN 9-16 A 4) 7H19 CARGO SMOKE - MAIN DECK ZN 9-16 B

(2) Remove pressure from the pneumatic crossover duct
(AMM 36-00-00/201).

CAUTION: EAR PROTECTION MUST BE WORN IN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT BECAUSE OF

THE HIGH NOISE LEVEL OF THE EJECTOR.
(3) To get to the S2276 (fwd) ejector, remove the floor panel at the aft end of the lower cargo compartment at STA 950, at the center of the airplane. To get to the S2277 (aft) ejector, remove the floor panel at the aft end of the lower cargo compartment at STA 1550, at the center of the airplane.
