SMOKE DETECTOR - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure replaces the lamp in the smoke detector in the main cargo compartment. There are two tasks in this procedure. One removes the lamp and the other installs the lamp.
B. There are a total of thirty two smoke detectors (2 on each zone) throughout the fwd, mid and aft end of the main cargo compartment. Access to the smoke detector is through the main cargo compartment.
C. If you think a detector has failed, make sure the lamp is good before you replace the detector.
