CAUTION:_______DO NOT TWIST OR SHARPLY BEND THE DETECTOR ELEMENT. THIS MAY DAMAGE THE DETECTOR ELEMENT.
(1)
Position the detector element (13) or (18), new copper gasket (9) and the support tube (14) on the end brackets (2).

For the top side of the upper detector element, install the
screw (1) and nut (3) on the end bracket (2).

For the bottom side of the upper detector element, install the screw (10), washer (11), and nut (6) on the end bracket (2).

(5) S 434-085For the vertical part of the upper detector element, install the screws (4) and nuts (6) for each support bracket.
(6) S 434-086For the horizontal part of the upper detector element, install the P-clamps (21), screws (4), washers (12), and nuts (6) for each support bracket.
(7) S 424-185For the vertical part of the lower detector element, install the P-clamps (21), screws (20), and nuts (17) on the support bracket.
(8) S 764-087Make sure the resistance between the electrical connector DM216 or DM217 (8) shell and the primary structure of airplane is not greater than 0.010 ohm.
(9) S 434-088Put the lockwire on the retaining nuts (7).

Remove the protective caps from airplane wiring connectors and connnect with the electrical connectors DM216 or DM217 (8).

2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars. 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
(b)
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
(c)
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.
(d)
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.
(e)
Close the APU access doors.
(f)
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

Close the circuit breakers listed below, and remove DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
