Open the latches on the APU access doors.

Connect a 300 ohms resistor from the center pin DM216A loop A (airplane wiring) to the connector shell of the disconnected detector element. Keep the resistor in place.

(8) S 085-088Remove the jumper wire and the resistor. (a) Make sure the EICAS (warning) message, FIRE APU, does not show. (b) Make sure the EICAS (status) message, APU FIRE LOOP A, does not show.
(9) S 025-216Disconnect the connector M216B (pin plug) from the APU fire detector M216 at the left APU access door.
