(1) You must do the smoke test after you remove or replace one of the cards. (You must do the test even if you remove the cards for trouble-shooting).

Do a test of the detection system for the forward lower cargo area as follows:
(a)
Make smoke at one of the smoke detection ports in the forward lower cargo compartments.
(b)
Make sure these indications occur: 1) The FWD warning light (red) for the cargo fire on the P5 pilot's overhead panel comes on. 2) The master WARNING lights (red) on the P72 light shield
come on. 3) The alarm bell operates. 4) The EICAS message, FIRE CARGO FWD, shows on the display.
