A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the access platform is in position.
(2) Make sure that the FWD passenger/crew door 831 (841) is in the open position (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001).

B. Clean Component Interface and/or Adjacent Area
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE SPECIAL_______ MATERIAL. THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
R R R (1) Remove the remaining sealant from the floor panels and the component interface with a non metallic scraper. If the sealant is not easy to remove, use CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a lint-free cloth.
R R (2) Use CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-021) to remove the remaining adhesive from the used strips of adhesive tape.

C. Inspection of the Component
(1)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the seal is in the correct condition.

D. Inspection of the Adhesive Tapes
(1) Make sure that the adhesive tapes are clean and in the correct condition. If necessary, repair the damaged adhesive tapes (Ref. TASK 53-12-00-300-001).

(1) Examine the shims between FR12 and FR24. If the shims are damaged, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Remove the shims with a non metallic scraper.
(b)
Clean the area between the shims and the structure with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).

Install the shims on the structure.
