R R (1) Remove the forward corner of the scuff plate from the sill of the forward passenger/crew door (Ref. TASK 53-15-15-000-001).

WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THIS/THESE_______ MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
R R R (1) Clean the inspection area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), if necessary.
(2) Make sure that the surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.
R R (3) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.

(4) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage: - If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200,P.Block 001) for types, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks, dents, bumps...): - If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100,P.Block 001) for damage classification and corrective action.
4. Procedure_________

A. Inspection (Ref. Fig. 603/TASK 53-11-00-991-072)
R R R (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the structure of the forward lower corner below the scuff plate. Refer to the Non-destructive Testing Manual (Ref. NTM 531104,P.Block-401).
R R (2) Make a report of the damage after the non-destructive testing inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage: - If you find damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200,P.Block 001) for types, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks, dents, bumps...): - If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100,P.Block 001) for damage classification and corrective action.
