3. Job Set-up

A. Get Access
R (1) Put an access platform in position at zone 831 (841).
(2)
Open the forward passenger/crew door 831 (841), and lock it in the open position (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3)
Remove the lining panels around the frame of the passenger/crew door at FR16 and FR20:
-
For the frame of the left door: 221AW, 221BW, 221CW, 221EW, 221FW, 221RW, 221SW, 221VW, (Ref. TASK 25-23-45-000-005).
-
For the frame of the right door: 222RW, 222SW, 222TW, 222UW, 222VW, (Ref. TASK 25-23-45-000-002).

Remove the ceiling panels:

for the left door:
221BC. (Ref. TASK 25-23-42-000-001)

for the right door:
222BC. (Ref. TASK 25-23-42-000-001)

Remove the insulation blankets around the frame of the passenger/crew door. (Ref. TASK 25-80-00-000-001)

B. Cleaning of the Structure
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1) Clean the inspection area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), if necessary.
4. Procedure

A. Inspection
(Ref. Fig. 633/TASK 53-11-00-991-020)
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the internal structure around the forward
passenger/crew door, left and right sides. This inspection is R applicable above the cabin floor level, between FR15 and FR21 and R between STGR8 and STGR23. This inspection does not include the bottom R corners of the door entrance area at FR16 and FR20, between STGR 22 R and 23.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a)
corrosion damage:
-If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200 P.Block 001) for types, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b)
other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks, dents,

bumps,...): R - If you find other damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual R (Ref. SRM 511100 P.Block 001) for damage classification and R corrective action.

R B. Application of the Temporary Protection
CAUTION : DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON THE OXYGEN SYSTEMS.
_______ MAKE SURE THAT THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION DOES NOT GET: -ON COMPOSITE PARTS, CONTROL CABLES, PULLEYS,TEFLON BEARINGS. -ON LUBRICATED SURFACES. -IN DRAIN VALVES OR OTHER ORIFICES. TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON OR IN THESE PARTS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
