A. Installation of the Locking Handle
(Ref. Fig. 409/TASK 53-15-11-991-007)
(1)
Put the locking handle (54) in position.
(2)
Install the bolt (56) and the washer (55).
(3)
Install the washer (53) and the nut (52).
(4)
Tighten the nut (52).
(5) Install a new cotter pin (51).

B. Adjustment of the Locking Handle
(Ref. Fig. 410/TASK 53-15-11-991-008)
(1)
Fully close the radome (Ref. TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(2)
Adjust the force of the locking handle (54).
(3)
Put a spring scale with a capacity of 20 daN (44.9617 lbf) to 10 mm (0.3937 in.) at the end of the locking handle (54).
(4)
Make sure that the tension of the lock is to between 8 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9770 lbf).
(5)
If necessary, adjust the tension of the lock as follows:
(a)
Open the radome (Ref. TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
(b)
Adjust the tension of the lock to between 8 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9770 lbf) with the nut (57) of the spring rod (58).

(1)
Check that the out-of-flushness between hinge arm (103) and radome
(102) is J1= 0.5 -1.5 +1.5 mm (0.0196 -0.0590 +0.0590 in.).
(2)
If the out-of-flushness is not in the tolerances, adjust the position of the locking fitting as follows:
(a)
Loosen the four screws (101).
(b)
Adjust position of the fitting (104) by means of serrated plate (105).
(c) Tighten the four screws (101).
