R R (1) Clean the mating surfaces of the arrestor pick-up fitting and the frame edge of the radome with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Arrestor Pick-Up Fitting (Ref. Fig. 412/TASK 53-15-11-991-009)
NOTE : The installation procedure is the same for each fitting.____
R R (1) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) on the mating surfaces of the arrestor pick-up fitting and the frame edge of the radome.
R (2) Put the arrestor pick-up fitting (62) in position.
R (3) Install the bolts (61) and the nuts (63).
R (4) TORQUE the nuts (63) to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in).
R (5) Close the radome (Ref. TASK 53-15-11-410-001).

C. Check of the Ohmic Resistance
(1) Make sure that the radome is closed (Ref. TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(2) Measure the ohmic resistance between each lightning arrestor strip of the radome and the adjacent primary structure of the aircraft (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(3) Make sure that the ohmic resistance is correct.

In the cockpit, put a warning notice in position on the center pedestal to tell persons not to operate the radar system.
