R A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
R (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized
R (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

R B. Get Access
R (1) Make sure that the access platform is in position at zone 811.
R (2) Make sure that the avionics-compartment access door 811 is open.
R (3) Make sure that the access platform is in position at zone 824.
R (4) Make sure that the avionics-compartment access door 824 is open.
R (5) On the panel 50VU:
R - make sure that the AVIONICS/COMPT LT pushbutton switch 23LS is
R pushed.
R (6) In the avionics compartment, make sure that the applicable floor
R panel is removed (Ref. TASK 53-12-13-000-001).
R (7) Make sure that the insulation blanket is removed.

R A. Preparation for Installation
R (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are
R clean and in the correct condition.
R (2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

R B. Installation of the Drain Valve
R (Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 53-19-41-991-003)
R (1) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-025) on the component interface.
R (2) Put the retaining valve (2) in position.
R (3) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-025) around the retaining valve (2).
R (4) Put the two nuts (1) in position.
R (5) Install the two bolts (3). Tighten the two nuts (1).
R (6) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-
R 019) between the valve (4) and the structure.
R (7) Install the valve (4).

R (1) Install the insulation blanket on the drain valve.
R (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other
