A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
(2)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Lubricate the new O-ring (5) and the internal surface of the valve canister with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).
(5)
Install the O-ring (5) on the refuel valve (3).

B. Installation of the Refuel Valve 7QU, (8QU)
(1)
Install the refuel valve (3) in the valve canister.
(2)
Install and tighten the nuts (2).
(3)
Use the screw (6) and nut (7) to attach the bonding strap (4) to the valve (3) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(4)
Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (1).
(5) Install the electrical connector (1). Subtask 28-25-51-865-054
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1QU, 2QU.

D. Test
(1)
To test the refuel valve:
-refuel the applicable tank (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003) or
-transfer fuel into the applicable tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
(2)
Make sure there are no leaks from the refuel valve.
